Born and bred in Ikageng, Potchefstroom, Andile Kutlwano Jona began his high school education in 2008 at Potchefstroom High School for Boys, culminating in his final year as head boy of day scholars at Barnard House in 2013.

In 2014, Andile commenced his tertiary studies at the University of the Free State (UFS), earning his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Guided by a commitment to lifelong learning and his mantra to transcend the boundaries of his profession, Andile was selected during his time at UFS for the Young African Leaders’ Initiative (YALI) in 2017. There, he collaborated with like-minded African leaders and obtained a specialised certificate in Public Management and Governance from the University of South Africa (UNISA), enhancing his understanding of the law’s practical application.

In 2021, Andile joined the legal department of a consulting firm, where his legal expertise, problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytical skills were sharpened. His dedication to professional growth allowed him to successfully complete the Attorneys’ Competency-Based Examinations administered by the Law Society of South Africa and Trial Advocacy Training through the Black Lawyers Association’s Legal Education Centre, all while fulfilling his work responsibilities. Expanding his expertise, Andile earned certifications from the University of the Witwatersrand in Project Management, Operations Management, Facilitation Skills, and Business Management Essentials. In 2022, he was selected as a delegate to the One Young World global summit, connecting with young leaders worldwide to drive positive change.

Joining Mouyis Cohen Incorporated as a Candidate Attorney in April 2024, Andile’s diligence, legal acumen, and strong work ethic led to his admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in August 2025. His leadership skills and deep legal insight make him a vital asset to the firm, with immense potential for future accomplishments.

In his leisure time, Andile, an enthusiastic Manchester United supporter, stays engaged with national and global current affairs, immerses himself in all things legal, enjoys music, and maintains an active lifestyle through gym workouts.
